End of semester reminders:




Please ensure that you upload your files to your engrade.com account for processing. All items require your soft-copy to be uploaded.
1.       Literary analysis
2.       PowerPoint presentation on Research Paper topic
3.       Research paper – A.P.A format –Note that all your submissions at this level should be professionally presented.
Any outstanding essays need to be turned in online by using your engrade.com account’s ‘turn-in feature’.
4.       Narrative essay
5.       Descriptive essay
The closing date for all soft copy submissions is Tuesday May 07th at Noon. Please be sure to review the rubric requirement for each assignment to ensure that you obtain the maximum points possible.

Just a few reminders:



Good Morning Everyone:

1.       Today you are to submit your analysis of the book that you read. Remember this is different than a summary.  Be sure to include your general thoughts, compare the book to another. Discuss similarities or differences in plot/style/characters/setting etc. This analysis should be no longer than one page.
2.       Today we present Power Point assisted presentation on our research paper.
Note the following:
1.       Have you flash drive and or computer ready.
2.       Be aware of the time too short is not good, neither is too long, so be prepared to make full use of you three minutes.
3.       Dress professionally.
4.       Behave/respond professionally.
3.       The actual hardcopy of your research should be submitted on the agreed date and time and must be

2. A.PA. formatting
3. Softcopy submitted online in Engrade.

Welcome back!




I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break and that you are all well rested and ready to get back on schedule.

This week we will discuss and prepare for our Socratic seminars that are scheduled for next week.  If you have not yet completed your book, please be sure to do so by the end of this week. You can use this weekend, April 5th -7th 2013, to prepare for your discussion/presentation. See you later.

Good Morning Everyone;

I trust you all had a wonderful weekend. The extra day provided well deserved time to catch up on rest or things that were left on the “todo” list. 

The link for your third paper : The Narrative- is open on Engrade. Please upload your file when you are ready. As always the early birds get credit for posting early. Remember the narrative is open. I did not give any topic/subject/idea. This means that you are free to write on any topic. Note our discussions about keeping the topic on something you know well or have experienced.

Remember:

  • Review the rubric provided in your course outline to ensure that you are meeting the requested criteria.
  • Be aware of proper formatting requirements (A.P.A)
  • Cite your sources.
  • The book donation for will be collected the next time we meet. Please bring the book you plan to donate.
